Feel free to ask us any questions you might have about the process. Most common question is “does it hurt?” obviously it hurts; it is a needle puncturing your skin. You have to think about the depth though – and the pain is different to everyone. Some people even say they enjoy it. Most just find it really annoying. Most people can sit for 2 – 4 hours before the pain gets to be unbearable. There are those who can sit for extended periods of time without issue. We will take care of you and make sure you have a memorable experience and we will try to manage the pain with you though! Just think – if the pain was “that” bad then you would not hear the phrase, “once you start you will get addicted” would you?

WHAT DO I DO?
Wait at least 2 hours before you wash your tattoo. This allows sufficient time for the blood and plasma to seep from the tattoo. First wash your hand thoroughly with soap and water. Dry them with clean paper towels. Cloth towels can carry germs and bacteria! If the tattoo has a bandage then remove it at this time Either in a shower or in a sink, rinse off your tattoo with luke warm water gently rubbing it in a circular motion to remove any lotion or dried plasma. With a generous amount of antibacterial soap, wash the tattoo in the same manner as you rinsed it. Be sure to get the soap on the entire tattoo. Rinse the tattoo again ensuring you remove all soap. With a clean paper towel, PAT the tattoo dry. DO NOT RUB IT!! After drying your hands, squeeze a small amount of H2Ocean lotion on your finger tips. Gently apply a thing layer of the lotion on your tattoo until it is completely absorbed. For the first three days, reapeat the wash and lotion process three times a day, applying the lotion up to five times a day. By the fourth day it is sufficient to apply the lotion without washing the tattoo. Apply the lotion at least five times a day due to the dry climate in Arizona. Continue using the lotion until your tattoo is free of scabs or skin flakes. This usually takes three weeks.
