Located in PeoriaWelcome to Top Rocker Tattoo where we always use a 100% disposable tattoo process. What does 100% Disposable mean anyway? At Top Rocker Tattoo we have the client’s safety and health set as priority number one. A typical tattoo studio will use what is referred to as “new needles every time." At Top Rocker we use “NEW EVERYTHING, EVERY TIME”. The needles are only one of the instruments that comes into contact with blood and plasma.

Tattoo needles are NOT hollow, and they do NOT inject you with ink. Instead the tattoo needles scrape/puncture the skin, then the ink drips inside. Tattoo needles reside in a tube that is connected to the tattoo machine. This tube often draws residual plasma and blood from the client into the tip. Typically these are cleaned and autoclave sterilized by a tattoo professional.
Unfortunately, there are several ways these instruments can remain contaminated. One way is due to the tattoo artist's failure in disassembling, scrubbing, and cleaning the tools correctly.
Contamination can also remain if the autoclaved being used is not working properly. Metal tubes, tips, and grips must be sterilized in a high pressure autoclave. The autoclave should be spore tested every couple of months to ensure it is capable of killing dangerous viruses and bacteria.

At Top Rocker we use disposable tubes, tips, grips, and needles. They are made of plastic and are thrown away after each use. There is no chance of faulty autoclave or sterilization procedure being improperly followed.
If you must get a tattoo from an artist that uses metal tubes and tips then ask, “when was your autoclave spore tested last?” You might be surprised at the answer!
